Psalm 98:1-4 “Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous deeds”
Ephesians 1:3-6, 11-12 (God chose us from the beginning to be holy)
+ Luke 1:26-38 (the Annunciation)

God was not caught
flat-footed
by my sin.
He had my destiny
in hand:

a spotless maid,
a virgin’s “yes”,
had been before His eyes
before the dawn of time–
and so was I.

Does my confidence in God’s plan for me
exceed my distress over my failures?
