Saturday, first week of Advent

December 5, 2015

JMJ

Blessed Saturday!

Readings:
Isaiah 30: 19-21, 23-26 (When you cry out, God will provide)
Psalm 147: 1-6 “Blessed are all who wait for the Lord”
+ Matthew 9:35-10:1,5,6-8 (The harvest is plenty, but laborers are few)

The sheep without a shepherd
are the ones who turned away,

who wouldn’t let the Shepherd
lead them
safely home.

Now caught by briars,
torn by wolves,
tormented and abandoned,
they turn back.

The Shepherd’s Heart
goes out to them!

He can protect and heal
at last!
these sheep
so dear to Him.

Am I trying to be my own shepherd?
Do I allow God’s compassionate Heart to heal and protect me–His way?
