Tuesday, second week of Advent ( St. Juan Diego)
Blessed St. Juan Diego’s Day!
His story can be found here.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose hope is in the Lord.
He is like a tree planted beside the waters that stretches out its roots to the stream:
it fears not the heat when it comes.
O God, who by means of Saint Juan Diego showed
the love of the most holy Virgin Mary for Your people,
grant, through her intercession,
that, by following the counsels our Mother gave at Guadalupe,
we may be ever constant in fulfilling Your will.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Deuteronomy 6:3-9 (Love the Lord your God with all your heart)
Psalm 131 “In You, Lord, I have found my peace”
+ Matthew 11:25-30 (God has revealed to little ones what He’s hidden from the wise and learned)
When you love the Lord
with every heartbeat,
when everything you see and do
His precepts are not burdensome.
They flow from you
like kisses from a child
when Daddy comes.
There is a unity
of God and man
toward the goal.
Is my life wrapped up in God as the One I love?
Am I as eager to go to Him as He is to come to me?
