Thursday After Ash Wednesday
Blessed Sts. Cyril and Methodius’ Day!
You can find their story here.
These are holy men who became friends of God,
glorious heralds of divine truth.
O God, who enlightened the Slavic peoples
through the brothers Saints Cyril and Methodius,
grant that our hearts may grasp the words of Your teaching,
and perfect us as a people of one accord
in true faith and right confession.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever.
Acts 13:46-49 (When the Jews reject it, Paul & Barnabas take the Gospel to the Gentiles)
Psalm 117: 1, 2 “Go out to all the world and tell the Good News”
+Luke 10:1-9 (The Lord of the Harvest sends out laborers)
I’ve got your back.
You don’t need a staff in hand,
money in your belts,
sandals on your feet.
No need to court favor
with social games.
I will provide.
Leave yours behind
(Mine is better!).
Two by two,
take your peace,
My healing power,
When you meet resistance,
reclaim your peace
and move on.
You will see.
The results are up to Me.
What is God calling you to do in His harvest-fields?
What other than God are you relying on in your vocation?
What concrete steps can you take to redirect your confidence to Him?
